Hot dip galvanizing

No other surface treatment, gives a durable corrosion protection for so low cost as hot-dip galvanizing. A galvanized surface is maintenance free for more than 40 years in a normal urban environment. There are many examples of steel structures that are older than 60 years and still have a good corrosion protection because they are galvanized. Since steel is dipped in molten zinc there is an adequate corrosion protection even in tight spaces and inside the tube. At our facility for hot-dip galvanizing the zinc pot is L 8.2 x W 1.2 m and 2.2 m deep. Galvanized products can withstand mechanical damage very well and is also self-healing, it "repair" damages itself in the coating through a galvanic process.
